Ladies, and gentlemen with long hair, should make sure their hair is neat and tidy and a hair net should be worn to assist in this matter, with ladies long hair being put into a bun. Make sure the colour of the net matches your hair colour so it is unobtrusive.

For the show class you should wear tweed/hacking jacket if the class is before noon. Some jackets available on the market are quite bright and bold; these should be avoided, as you are not competing in the “Highland games”. If the class is after noon you are permitted to wear a navy blue show jacket. Both of these should be worn with a collared shirt and tie and a neat tie pin.

It is always good to have as part of your accessories a piece of cord or elastic on which you can put your class number. This should be adjusted to fit over your middle button on your jacket and any loose ends should be tucked away inside. The number should be neatly trimmed.

Leather gloves should be worn, these will need to be brown/tan coloured, along with a brown leather covered show cane.
